Marine Technician Responsibilities:
" -Perform diagnostics and repair of all types of marine engines.
" -Performing work on boats and yachts, servicing and rigging as needed.
" -Handle multiple work orders and utilize computer systems to document work that has been performed.
" - Diagnose and repair outboards, I/O's, and inboards.
" -Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical accessories in boats such as: bilge pumps, charging systems, gauges, steering systems; (hydraulic and cable), etc.
" -Work with the Service writer and Service Manager to perform tasks needed to help the business run efficiently and correctly.
" -Have a general understanding of the Diagnostic Process, Two and Four Stroke Theory, Electrical Diagnostics, and general shop processes.
" -A very strong attention to detail and a quality repair.
" -Be able to work independently, or with a team.
" -Be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Power Sport Technician Responsibilities:
" Perform work on ATV, UTV, Motorcycle/Scooter, and Snowmobiles to a high standard which includes diagnosis and repair.
" Perform routine service inspections, lube, oil, filter, test engines and other major components.
" Assist in the setup and testing of new Power Sport products
" Move vehicles and trailers of all sizes using a variety of equipment (truck, forklift, tractor, etc.).
" Work with the Parts and Service Manager to complete work in a timely manner.
" Handle multiple work orders and utilize computer systems to document work that has been performed.
" Troubleshoot, repair, and install electronic accessories.
" Maintain and keep up with leading-edge technology in powersport diagnosis and repair.
" Maintain a clean workstation
" Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition
" Attend training seminars/service courses to remain certified according to manufacturer and dealership standards.

Pay based on experience $10.00-$15.00 an hour for entry level techs and differs for Experienced Techs.
Hours are varied but mostly days, 40 hours a week. Some Saturdays but flexible.
Power SportTechnician Qualifications:
" Attention to detail.
" Strong mechanical aptitude.
" Knowledge of engine components, adjustments, service operations and parts management, fuel and lubrication systems, and testing electrical and engine management systems.
" Haul, Load/Unload, Trailering ability.
" Communication: ability to interact professionally with staff, customers, and vendors. Candidate must be of good character and honesty to openly communicate any mistakes or mishaps made to their supervisor! Things happen, we know this. We try hard to minimize unfortunate incidents.
" Problem-solving skills.
" Self-motivated/ ability to work independently and efficiently.
" Power Sport technical degree or relevant experience preferred.
